October 30, 10a-6p - Free Laundry Day and Relief Fund for Victims of California Wildfires
posted almost 4 years ago by KerryFugett from Sonoma County Conservation Action
Three northern California laundromat owners have teamed up with laundry equipment manufacturer, Dexter Laundry and its local distributor, Western State Design (WSD) to raise funds and sponsor a Free Laundry Day on October 30, 2017, for residents affected by the recent wildfires.
In partnership with their local laundry equipment suppliers they will hold a FREE LAUNDRY DAY on October 30, 2017, 10 a.m. — 6 p.m.
Community members are welcome to do their laundry free of charge at each of these three laundromats located in areas affected by the wildfires:
WASH WORLD 1418 Mendocino Avenue Santa Rosa, CA Owners: Karin and Brad Seder (707) 539-5282
LAUNDERLAND 201 West Napa Road, #25 Sonoma, CA Owner: Diane Natenstedt (707) 394-5805
MI FAMILIA LAVANDERIA 2908 1st Street Napa, CA Owner: Eric Obranovich (707) 226-3954 Wildfires Victims Relief Fund
Prepared For: Prepared By: Western State Design, Inc. January 10, 2011
In addition to sponsoring the Free Laundry Day, Western State Design and Dexter Laundry have set up a matching relief fund for others to donate money to aid the fire victims.
Together, WSD and Dexter will match the first $6000 in tax deductible donations to the fund, administered by the Coin Laundry Association’s LaundryCares Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

The devastation and human suffering caused by the northern California wildfires is immense. Community members are rising to the occasion and finding different ways to help. In this case, some local laundry business owners and their local laundry equipment suppliers figure giving residents access to nearby large capacity commercial laundry machines free of charge for a day might just bring a tiny bit of relief.
