MONDAY DEADLINE: Lost Personal Property, Wages, or your house in the Northern CA fires? Register NOW for FEMA grants and SBA loans - Deadline Monday, Dec. 11
posted over 2 years ago by lizaloop from LO*OP Center, Inc.
Even if you don’t think you will qualify for a FEMA grant or very low interest loan from the Small Business Administration it is important to file the application paperwork before the end of business on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017. Why? Because no one source of financial assistance is likely to provide enough for all your needs. You don’t have to accept a grant or loan if it is offered but you will not have a chance to refuse if you don’t register. If you miss this deadline you will not be able to receive funds later. Individuals as well as businesses may receive SBA loans.
FEMA Grants can help cover disaster-related expenses, including rent, essential home repairs and other disaster-related needs not covered by insurance. Renters, homeowners and transients can apply for up to $40,000 to replace personal property. Call 800-659-2955 or visit www.sba.gov/disaster for more information.
ICE will not be notified and anyone can apply for disaster assistance by going online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by using the FEMA app on a smart phone or by calling 800-621-3362 or (TTY) 800-462-7585. Applicants who use 711 or Video Relay Service can call 800-621-3362. The toll-free numbers are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week until Dec. 11, 2017.
