Additional volunteer help needed for Russian River Flood Response March 1,2,3 and following
posted about 1 year ago by lizaloop from LO*OP Center, Inc.
A Local Assistance Center (LAC) is being set up to support victims of the Russian River Floods.
Two kinds of volunteers are needed. If you are already a volunteer with a VOAD agency (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters) please contact your agency and register with the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County using the link below. Be sure to note the agency you are connected with in the additional comments section at the end of the form.
If you have not yet been active with a local Sonoma County helping agency and wish to volunteer please click on the link below and register with the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County. Add some comments about your skills and availability at the end of the form.
New volunteers without specialized skills will probably not be contacted immediately but don't give up. Once the flood waters recede and victims have a chance to figure out what kind of help they need your head, heart and hands will be in high demand.
