Volunteers needed for landscaping - October 12, 9-3, Coffey Park, Santa Rosa, CA
posted 2 months ago by lizaloop from LO*OP Center, Inc.
Volunteer opportunity on October 12th from 9am - 3pm in Coffey Park. Daily Acts, a local nonprofit organization, will be hosting a front-yard landscape installation for four home sites that were affected by the 2017 wildfires.
The installation will be completed by volunteers, and will consist of sheet mulching, planting and installing drip irrigation. The designs are from the Sonoma - Marin Saving Water Partnership templates, and are considered low-water use and fire safer.
Volunteers will have the chance to learn skills that can be applied at their own sites, while connecting with community members.
Daily Acts needs volunteers for the labor/installation, as well as support for registration, setting up lunch, and helping to organize tasks behind the scenes. For more information and to sign up please visit Daily Acts website: https://dailyacts.org/events-1/?eid=11951 You can also connect with Liz at email@example.com for more ways to support this project.
